FAQs

1

What exactly is Bright Key®?

Bright Key® is a program that turns a school into a community school. As a community school, we will bring programs and services into the school based on the needs of the children. Bright Key® programs are completely stakeholder driven. That means that parents, teachers and community members make the decisions on what programs and services you want and need for your school. We hold periodic meetings at each school where stakeholders can become involved and voice their opinions and concerns.

2

Does Bright Key® cost me anything?

Some programs are free and some programs may have fees. For example, tutoring in the Academic Dream Room is free thanks to corporate sponsors and volunteers, but should an art program be established, fees may apply.

3

What is my role as a parent in Bright Key®?

Parents are crucial to the success of Bright Key® . As the parent of a Bright Key® student, we want you to be involved. Your voice is important and we want you to attend the stakeholder meetings. We also want you to volunteer in the Bright Key® programs in your child's school. To find out more about the stakeholder meetings for your school, please visit the appropriate school page on our website and visit your school’s Facebook page.

4

What is my role as a partner in Bright Key®?

We are very grateful and thankful for all of our Bright Key® partners and any contribution they make. As a partner, your role will be outlined in our partner agreement. Each partner will be different and your involvement will depend on the needs of the school.

5

What programs are available through Bright Key®?

Bright Key® programs depend entirely on the needs of the students of each school and will be determined by the stakeholders for that school. Stakeholders are parents, teachers, faculty and community leaders. These programs will change based on the needs of the school. If you are a company looking to partner or if you're a parent looking to learn more about the programs for your school, please visit your school’s page on our website, visit your school’s Bright Key® Facebook page, or contact the resource coordinator at your school.

6

How do I request a program?

We love new ideas and feedback. They are the foundation of the Bright Key® program. Please become involved with your school’s stakeholder meetings to contribute to the discussions about the programs and services for your school. Visit your school’s Bright Key® Facebook page or contact the resource coordinator at your school, to see when the next stakeholder meeting will take place.

7

Is my child required to participate in Bright Key® programs?

Your child is not required to participate in Bright Key®.

8

Is Bright Key® open to the public?

Bright Key®’s availability to the public depends entirely on the school and the decision by the stakeholders. Please visit your school’s page on our website, visit your school’s Bright Key® Facebook page, or contact the resource coordinator at your school for more information.

9
